In 2021, longtime Vermillion residents and business owners, Nick and Randy took a decisive step to preserve a vital part of our community. Recognizing the impending closure of the area's last local lumberyards, which would have forced our residents to travel as far as Sioux City, Yankton, or Akron for their lumber needs, they founded The Lumberyard LLC. With a vision to maintain access to high-quality building materials right here in Vermillion.
Both Nick and Randy have extensive backgrounds in the construction industry through the longtime community loved AMS Building Systems. Their experience and dedication to the community are integral to The Lumberyard’s mission, ensuring it serves as a reliable resource for builders and homeowners alike.
